  Floor grinder leveller

SITUP Products has released a compact floor grinder/leveller called Situp N Grind that operators use while seated on a mobile stool.

Situp N Grind floor grinder and leveller.

The package includes a 9” angle grinder, diamond disc with a dustless hood, balancing weights, a set of elevated handles attached to the grinder and a comfortable stool with swivel castors. A removable section on the hood and a folding handle enable it to get close to walls and into corners.

It is designed safer to eliminate the occupational health and safety problems associated with kneeling and crouching on hard concrete while using traditional hand grinders. It also keeps the face well away from the rotating disc to prevent dust inhalation or eye irritation.

The mobile stool and the balancing weights improve productivity by around 300% and the user is not physically stressed while using it because it floats easily across the work area with little effort. The dry operation with vacuum attached ensures that there is no mess and the cleanup afterwards is simply a quick vacuum of the immediate area.

The grinder is used to improve floor safety where concrete slabs have lifted or become uneven. It can quickly remove these protruding tripping hazards and make floors smoother and quieter for forklifts.

The Situp N Grind will quickly take away old linemarking.

It can be used to clean and prepare a floor before new safety lines are laid to prevent chipping and premature loss of adhesion of the lines. This is also true for in-house painting of floor areas up to 150m2 in size which can be economically prepared using Situp N Grind.

The system was developed because grinding while kneeling and crawling was slow and exhausting work. It was also highly hazardous to knees, backs, arms and wrists. It was designed and is manufactured in Australia for contractors, industry and DIY.
